‘Everythinglessness’ is the new single from London-born artist Alexander Wolfe. The track’s accompaniment is centred on a loop constructed from a moment of panicked breathing in a real voice note sent to Wolfe by a friend. It captures the exact second that the mind begins to fracture, with Wolfe adding: “The first time something breaks. Your body goes off, your brain can't keep up... 'Am I dying"' 'Is this a heart attack"' I remember that moment so clearly. Realising I wasn't the same as everyone else.” It’s a sparse piece that cuts sharply between its hazy, airy moments and ferocious bursts of distorted noise.
